The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation in the deployment of household solar energy systems, productive-use renewable-energy solutions, technical capacity building, and project implementation support.
The initiative is expected to strengthen access to reliable and affordable energy for households, communities, public institutions, farmers, and small businesses, particularly in areas with limited access to the national electricity grid.

The partnership will focus on promoting practical solar-energy applications that improve living conditions, strengthen agricultural productivity, support income-generating activities, and contribute to environmentally sustainable economic development.
Speaking on the significance of the agreement, representatives of both institutions emphasized the importance of public–private collaboration in accelerating Ethiopia’s transition toward clean and inclusive energy solutions.
